At OakTreeUni, we invest significant time, resources, and proprietary content into every enrolment. Our programs combine structured curriculum, live guidance, and mentorship designed to build real, practical skills over time.

We also recognize the importance of clear consumer protections—especially when you are making a substantial investment in your professional development.


This Refunds, Cancellations & “Return” Policy (“Refund Policy”) explains when and how refunds may be requested and processed for our online education and mentorship programs.


This Policy applies to all qualifying purchases made directly through www.oaktreeuni.com or through our authorized sales channels.


1. Cooling-Off / Return Period

For all qualifying enrolments in our online programs, you may request a refund within 14 calendar days from the date you first receive access to the program materials (your “Cooling-Off Period”).

  • This is typically the date on which we provide your login credentials or otherwise grant you initial access to our learning portal, course materials, or onboarding resources.

  • For the purposes of consumer protection and BNPL provider requirements, this Cooling-Off Period is the equivalent of our “return period”, and it is within 14 days after you receive access to the items/services you purchased.


Important: Refund requests submitted after the Cooling-Off Period will not be eligible for a refund, except where required by applicable law or where OakTreeUni explicitly agrees otherwise in writing.


2. Non-Refundable Processing Charges

Any refund that is approved and processed will be issued after deducting non-refundable Processing Charges unless applicable law requires otherwise.


2.1 What are Processing Charges?

For the purposes of this Policy, “Processing Charges” may include, without limitation:

  • Non-recoverable transaction fees charged by payment gateways, card processors, banks, or BNPL / financing providers

  • Currency conversion or cross-border transaction costs

These Processing Charges are non-refundable, even when a refund is granted during the Cooling-Off Period, unless applicable law requires otherwise.


3. Conditions for Refund Eligibility (Cooling-Off Period)

To protect both our students and our business, refund eligibility during the 14-day Cooling-Off Period is subject to the following conditions. All conditions must be met unless applicable law provides more favourable terms.


3.1 Limited Usage of the Program

To be eligible for a refund during the Cooling-Off Period:

  • You must not have completed more than a reasonable introductory portion of the program, defined as:

    • No more than than 50% first module, or

    • Approximately 10% of the total course content,
      whichever is lower for your specific program; and

  • You must not have attended, scheduled, or used any:

    • 1:1 coaching or mentoring sessions

    • Deep-dive working sessions

    • Personalized interview preparation, CV/resume clinics, or similar high-touch support

    • Other services that require significant dedicated time from our coaches or mentors

Once high-touch services have been delivered, a significant portion of the program value has been provided; therefore, enrolments with such usage are generally not eligible for a refund.


3.2 No Abuse of the Program

We reserve the right to decline a refund if we have reasonable grounds to believe the program has been accessed in bad faith, including but not limited to:

  • Downloading or copying substantial portions of course content and then requesting a refund

  • Sharing login credentials or materials with third parties

  • Any behaviour indicating the primary intention was to obtain content without genuine engagement in the program

OakTreeUni will make such determinations in good faith and at our reasonable discretion, in line with applicable law.


3.3 Refund Requests Must Be Sent by Email Only

To ensure a clear, auditable process for both parties:

Refund requests are only accepted and evaluated when submitted by email to:
support@oaktreeuni.com

  • Requests made by social media, messaging apps, phone calls, or any other channel are not considered valid and will not be processed.

  • Your email should include at minimum:

    • Your full name

    • The email address used for enrolment

    • The program name

    • Date of purchase / date you received access

    • A brief explanation of your refund request

We may ask for additional information to verify your identity and assess eligibility (for example, checking your progress and session attendance).


4. Review, Approval, and Method of Refund

If you meet the conditions above and submit your request within 14 calendar days of receiving access:

  1. We will review your request in good faith, including:

    • Verifying the date access was granted

    • Checking how much of the content has been completed

    • Confirming whether any 1:1 or high-touch services were used

    • Assessing any signs of misuse or abuse of the program

  2. If your request is approved, we will process a refund:

    • Less any non-refundable Processing Charges (see Section 2), where permitted by law

    • Using the original payment method, where reasonably possible

  3. If you paid via a BNPL or other third-party financing provider:

    • We will submit the approved refund through that provider’s system.

    • Any change to your instalment schedule, fees, interest, or outstanding balance will be managed directly by that provider according to their own terms and policies.


Please note: Once we submit the refund, the time for funds to appear back in your account is determined solely by your bank, card issuer, or BNPL / payment provider. We do not control these timelines.


5. After the 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

After the 14-day Cooling-Off Period has expired:

  • All fees are non-refundable, and

  • No refunds will be issued, except:

    • Where required by applicable consumer-protection laws, or

    • Where OakTreeUni has explicitly agreed in writing to a different arrangement (for example, under a specific corporate or institutional contract).

In any such exceptional case, if a refund is granted, it will still be subject to Processing Charges and any additional terms agreed between you and OakTreeUni.


6. Program Changes, Deferrals, and Credits

We understand that circumstances change and you may need flexibility. While we are not obligated to provide alternatives, we may, at our sole discretion, offer one or more of the following instead of a refund:

  • Deferring your start date to a later intake

  • Providing a partial credit toward another OakTreeUni program

  • Allowing a one-time transfer to another suitable program, where available

These options:

  • Are not guaranteed

  • Are evaluated strictly on a case-by-case basis

  • May be subject to additional conditions or administrative fees

Any credit issued:

  • Is non-cash

  • Has no cash value on its own

  • Will expire on the date communicated to you at the time it is granted


7. Cancellations Before Access is Granted

If you notify us in writing at support@oaktreeuni.com that you wish to cancel before we have provided any access to program materials or services:

  • We will generally treat this as a pre-access cancellation, and

  • We may issue a refund less any Processing Charges already incurred, where permitted by law.

Once access has been granted (for example, login credentials or materials shared), the Cooling-Off / Return Period and the conditions detailed in this Policy apply.


8. Purchases via BNPL and Other Third-Party Payment Providers

If you choose to pay using a Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) or other third-party financing/payment provider at checkout:

  • You enter into a separate agreement with that provider for the payment terms.

  • Eligibility checks, interest rates, fees, late charges, and collection practices related to your payment plan are governed exclusively by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy, not by OakTreeUni.

  • Our Refund Policy determines whether and how much of your tuition we refund. That refund is then transmitted to the relevant provider, who applies it to your account in line with their policies.

If you have questions about:

  • Your payment plan or instalment schedule

  • Any interest, fees, or late charges

  • The impact of a refund on your outstanding balance

please contact your payment/BNPL provider directly using their official support channels.


9. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit or exclude any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction.

If any part of this Policy conflicts with mandatory legal rights, the relevant legal provisions will prevail, and we will honour those rights.


10. Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update or modify this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • Changes in our programs, pricing, or internal processes

  • Changes in applicable laws and regulations

  • Requirements introduced by banks, card networks, or payment/BNPL providers

  • Other operational or business needs


When we make changes:

  • We will post the updated version on this page; and

  • We will update the “Last updated” date at the top.

Your continued use of our services after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Refund Policy.
